The Kingdom Network (TKN) is a prominent organization that serves as a beacon of empowerment for African American clergy and their communities. We were founded by the esteemed Reverend Matthew Lawrence Watley, Senior Pastor of Kingdom Fellowship AME Church, who recognized the need for a platform to support and uplift African American churches and their leaders.
TKN functions as an extension of Kingdom Fellowship AME Church and operates as a 501(c)(3) entity with a clear and singular mission – to level the ecclesiastical playing field. This means that TKN is dedicated to ensuring that Black Mainline churches, regardless of their size, demographics, or financial standing, have access to essential tools and resources for compelling preaching, effective executive leadership, and flourishing communities.
Since our inception in the fall of 2022, TKN has been a vital source and convener of resources for African American pastors and clergy. Through various programs, conferences, and initiatives, TKN brings together over 500 African American pastors and clergy, providing a supportive and empowering network for them to connect, learn, and grow.
TKN’s impact has been significant, with our efforts leading to a more level playing field for African American churches and clergy. Through TKN, these communities can thrive and make a positive impact on their congregations and the larger society. TKN continues to be a powerful force for change and empowerment within the African American community, and our influence is only expected to grow in the years to com
