Jesus said, “whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant” (Matthew 20:26). A servant leader’s focus is on the well-being and growth of their team rather than their own success.
Lead With Wisdom
Proverbs 2:6 says, “For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.” As leaders, we must seek wisdom and guidance from God. Seeking God’s wisdom also means listening to and considering other perspectives. A wise leader knows they don’t have all the answers and values the input of their team.
Humility And Accountability
Proverbs 11:2 says, “When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.” A humble leader has a teachable spirit, always seeking to learn and grow. They also take responsibility for their actions and are willing to admit their mistakes and apologize when necessary. By being accountable, a leader can build trust, foster teamwork, and promote a healthy work environment.
